Welcome to our centre

With much emphasis currently being placed on environmental sustainability, there is a need for the development and application of novel biotechnological processes to satisfy the above demands. Having developed the infrastructure and capacity to function as a Centre of excellence, emphasis will be placed on sustaining the current level of growth and attaining the deliverables. Since water research demands a multi-disciplinary approach, the current available expertise in the Centre which includes both chemical engineering and biotechnology will be used in synergy. In addition, the long term goals include developing the research into a ‘Centre of Research’ of international repute.
